El Nino threatens Africa's cocoa output

The United States World Food Programme has warned that about 100 million people are facing food and water shortages as a result of the El Nino effect. The International Cocoa organisation has also raised concerns as to the extent of damage that the Harmattan season will wreak on African cocoa output.
